Jesus Understood The Needs of Those Around Him
SO WHAT WAS HIS METHOD IN REACHING PEOPLE?
As Christian entrepreneurs, we can be guided by Christ in our Businesses and Ministries. Jesus Understood The Needs of Those Around Him – Ministry of Healing, p. 143 by E.G. White. “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, ‘Follow Me.’” Let us see how we can implement this method in four stages.
Stage 1
Jesus Mingled with men And DESIRED THEIR GOOD
Get to know your target audience or potential customers. “Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gatherings around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” (Luke 15: 1, 2 NIV). Be a part of the community where your target audience hangs out, join the groups and forums where they are asking questions.
Stage 2
Jesus Showed sympathy and Ministered to needs
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:” (Phil. 2: 3-5. NIV)
Stage 3
Won their confidence: Become an authority
Build a minimum viable product (MVP) and audience that will win the confidence of your target audience allowing them to perceive you to be an authority(someone they can trust). Your visitors and target audience will be more willing to listen to your advice, purchase your products and services, and take up your invitation to try new things (“The Gospel”) when you introduce them to them.
Stage 4
Invited them to follow With Clear Calls To Action
Build a minimum viable business (MVB) or ministry by meeting four essential needs of your target audience: Physical – for healing (Health and Wellness – Lifestyle) and comfort. Emotional – for sympathy (Coaching and Counselling) and understanding. Mental – for truth & knowledge (Skills). Spiritual – for a close connection with God (share your values of Christian excellence).
